Will Corley

Executive Coach

Will Corley, Psy,D, is Co-Founder, Lead Coach, and Head of Research at BetterManager. Will is an expert in change management and specializes in coaching C-suite leaders and business teams across multiple industries. His clients include Google, Yelp, SurveyMonkey, DropBox, Petaluma Health Center, and Meta Company. Previous to this Will was a Director of Family and Children’s Services and Training for Cutler Counseling in Norwood, MA. He brings twenty years of business management experience as head of coaching/consulting practice.

Will listens deeply and has an engaging, non-confrontational communication and coaching style. Will is passionate about helping individuals analyze and understand their strengths and leadership approach, identifying areas for growth, and developing a plan to strengthen their own leadership and coaching skills. He inspires leaders and employees to hold themselves accountable to their coaches and themselves. He helps teams address the obstacles they are facing in real-time and develop solutions resulting in a more proactive and positive work culture.

Wendy Hanson

Executive Coach

Wendy Hanson, Co-founder and COO, leads the operations team at BetterManager. For more than 20 years, she has worked with companies of all sizes, coaching C-suite leaders and business teams across various industries. Her clients have included Google, Yelp, SurveyMonkey, DropBox, AOL, Mapquest and hundreds of start-ups.

In 1999, Wendy co-founded CorleyHansonAssociates, a WBENC-certified company that specialized in coaching, training and consulting to help businesses lead change. She is a co-author of a book for women entrepreneurs and has hosted numerous business podcasts in the areas of women’s leadership and business innovation. She has been CEO of a non-profit organization and held many leadership positions in the human services and education fields.

Wendy was the Small Business Administration’s Women in Business Champion of the Year for the State of Rhode Island in 2009. Wendy has an M.Ed in Organization and Management from Antioch University Graduate School. Wendy received her coaching certification(PCC) from the Coaches Training Institute in 1999.

She has volunteered with women’s groups in Guatemala through Leading Women and in the Philippines, with Together We Can Change the World. She is a member of Toastmasters and the National Speakers Association. Wendy lives in Oakland, California.

Karen Benz

Head Coach

Karen is an experienced Executive Coach with an extensive background in leadership and management.  She has coached across most industries including technology, finance, healthcare, manufacturing, service, non-profit, government, and education.  She especially enjoys partnering with executives in developing leadership and management strategies.

Karen teaches “Enterprise” and “Management” at the Gabelli School of Business at Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI.  She has been teaching at the university level for over 10 years. She is an experienced management and leadership trainer and has had a focus on teaching the DISC behavioral style methodology to improve communication, expand relationships and create a common understanding of organizations.

Karen has participated in several leadership initiatives including the Middle-Eastern Partnership Initiative where medical students from 12 Middle Eastern countries came to the US to develop projects of social change.  Karen served as a mentor for medical students from Iraq and Algeria. She enjoys community service projects and is an active member of her local Rotary Club. Karen has extensive experience as the Chief Operating Officer of an ambulatory health care facility in addition to owning her own business for over 20 years.  

Karen is a certified graduate of Corporate Coach U and is certified in DISC. She is the Head Coach at BetterManager and is based in Rhode Island.

Debra Lamfers

Executive Coach

Debra brings years of experience as a coach, creative director, and entrepreneur. As an Executive Coach working in a variety of industries including technology, healthcare, and design her clients range from startups to Fortune 100 companies. Debra engages leaders to focus on activities that increase their capacity to manage change and leverage the resourcefulness, knowledge, and talent of their teams. Her clients know that she is someone they can trust to listen, to challenge, and to act as a catalyst to support them as they work toward their goals.

Debra is a mentor and serves on the executive committee for SHE-CAN, a nonprofit connecting professional US women with young female leaders from post-conflict countries to win US college scholarships and become agents of change. As part of her commitment to SHE-CAN, Debra co-leads the annual Leadership Summit for the scholars and their mentors. Debra is a leadership coach with the Humanitarian Coaching Network (HCN), working with clients at the United Nations in numerous countries including Spain, Hungary, and Zimbabwe.

Dorcas Kelley

With over 20 years of experience, Dorcas is a highly skilled Executive Coach, helping high-performing executives, managers and leaders recognize and build on their strengths, guide their organizations and proactively manage change. Her clients learn to recognize and develop crucial perspectives, behaviors and leadership skills, increasing their effectiveness and impact while handling the challenges of increasing responsibilities and rapidly changing markets.

Barbara Kurka

Executive Coach

Barbara Kurka is an executive coach whose clients benefit from her years of corporate experience in strategic human resources, talent development, and executive coaching roles. Her clients have come from banking, publishing, energy, financial services, IT, consumer product, not-for-profit and the healthcare industries.

She brings a unique perspective on how businesses operate and how individuals succeed by finding and focusing her work with key management on what it means to be a leader and on how to increase executive presence in the workplace. She works with senior executives who are looking to navigate the challenges of their roles and coaches high potentials to prepare for promotion or growth into a new role. She also is a volunteer coach with Stand Beside Them, an organization that offers free coaching to veterans and their families, as they transition to the corporate world.

Jim Coyle

Jim has over 25 years of experience as a senior leader, sales consultant, and executive coach.  His senior leadership experience was acquired in the financial services industry with specialization in wealth management sales and distribution.  In his executive roles, Jim was able to consistently execute strategic business growth strategies. As a consultant and facilitator with Holden International, Jim engaged with Fortune 500 technology companies, working with strategic account teams across 4 continents, the result of which was an improvement in efficiency, effectiveness, and closing ratios.  

As Executive Coach, Jim’s energy, deep business acumen, and coaching skills help his clients realize their personal mastery, achieve critical goals and live a purposeful life.  

Jim has served as an assistant in the training of new coaches through the Coaches Training Institute training curriculum. As a long-time Rotarian, Jim engages in both local and international initiatives that provide service to others through its fellowship of business, professional and community leaders.

Lynn Boyd

Lynn brings over 25 years of experience in a multinational Fortune 50 Company, where she held senior leadership positions in Human Resources and Leadership Development. She has both managed and coached globally, and has worked in multiple industries, including Healthcare, Manufacturing, Consumer Products, Biotech, Pharma, Finance, and Insurance. In addition to her current focus on coaching, Lynn is a skilled presenter and facilitator.

Rachel Peterson

Executive Coach

Rachel is an adaptable, dynamic, international organizational change professional with 30 years of leadership, professional staff development, change management, strategic planning, and training and facilitation.  In over 20 countries she has consulted and coached across public and private sectors, in such fields as medical, agribusiness, scientific, mining, secondary education, construction, and with non-profits. She provides facilitation and leadership training in the US and Mexico (in Spanish) for Thermo-Fisher Scientific, Republic Waste Management, KONE, and other corporate clients for a globally renowned leadership training group (Entelechy).


She works with leaders to better understand themselves, their motivations and their impact – so they then develop others to reach their levels of self-awareness and effectiveness.  She loves working with clients as they build strong teams and learn how to have difficult conversations, enhance problem-solving, and develop their own coaching skills. John Kalinowski

Todd Bouldin

Executive Coach

Todd is an executive coach with a specialty in executive presence and management practices for Millennial leaders in tech, finance and biotech. Todd specializes in those areas of management where leadership and communication intersect, such as feedback and conflict management. He has written extensively on Millennial leaders in the intergenerational workplace.

Todd is a licensed attorney who chose to spend his career serving leaders with learning and development skills including coaching, facilitation, and training. Todd has served in management positions in the US House of Representatives, political campaigns and at Pepperdine University.

Having a passion for those individuals who are unemployed or formerly imprisoned, Todd serves as a coach for San  Francisco’s Code Tenderloin. He also is in demand as a leadership trainer for Deloitte’s Life Sciences and Health Care sector as well as for startups and Fortune 100 companies in the Bay Area and throughout the US. Anna Golawski

She has over 20 years’ experience working for large corporates (including Harrods, IBM and Rolls Royce) and bring a strong HR and commercial experience.

Bénédicte Flouriot

Executive Coach

Bénédicte is a Career & Leadership Coach, she specializes in coaching focused on professional life including improving leadership skills, confidence and focus, overcoming professional challenges, integrating into a new team or role and improving performance.

She has experience with clients across industries including telecommunications, hospitality, insurance, education, and non-profit; and across continents. As a volunteer for Dress for Success she acted as a Mentor and participated in empowering women into the workforce by providing them with career services and skills development programs. She now coaches for the ICF Vancouver Non-Profit Leadership Coach Giving Program, helping leaders in non-profit organizations to build knowledge, skills and take their leadership capability to the next level.


She draws from her multidisciplinary background that includes experience in luxury hospitality and marketing as well an MBA, a Master’s in Career Consulting, ACC designation with the ICF, CPCC certified with the Coaches Training Institute and psychometric testing (Strong Interest Inventory) to provide a holistic approach to career development.

David Andrews

Executive Coach

David Andrews is a Professional Certified Coach with more than 20 years of experience working with individuals, teams and organizations designing and delivering the conversations, pathways, and learnings to move clients towards greater awareness, effectiveness, and success.

David’s clients include The World Bank, The International Monetary Fund, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Johns Hopkins Medical Institute, The Comptroller of the Currency and many others.  Prior to launching his independent practice, he was on staff at the World Bank for nearly 10 years. In this capacity, he facilitated effectiveness workshops with Bank-staff teams around the world helping to identify strengths and challenges and build actions towards greater success and improved experience.  

David is trained in Organizational Relationship Systems Coaching from CRR Global, Inc. and the Great Story Coaching program with Lucid Living.  He has significant practice in interpreting a number of 360 assessment tools with clients and is a regular connection for new students in the Leadership Circle 360 Certification program, helping them to debrief their own profiles prior to beginning their formal training.  He holds the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential with the International Coach Federation. A graduate of the Coaches Training Institute’s Co-Active Coaching and Leadership programs He holds an MA in Education from Johns Hopkins University and BAs in both English and Political Science from the University of Maryland. He is based in Washington, DC.

Quinn McLaughlin

Chief Technology Officer

Quinn McLaughlin has over 20 years experience leading technology teams in Silicon Valley and New York City. As CTO, Quinn works closely with the executive, coaching and design teams to evolve the BetterManager software platform.

Previously, Quinn led the first online offering for Annie’s Homegrown Inc, helped create a Fortune 500 fastest growing company (Learning Annex LLC) and was entrepreneur in residence for several leading Silicon Valley Angel investors.

Tina Sedonne

Lead Product Designer

Tina is the Lead Product Designer at BetterManager. She has over 21 years of design and art direction experience as Creative Director, Product Designer and UX/UI/Visual Designer. She is equally at home launching new brands for startups, iterating on existing products or managing agile software projects. She has worked for a wide variety of clients, from mega-brands to startups and everyone in-between, including: Sugar publishing – with an audience of more than 20 million monthly unique visitors, Gigaom – part of the CNet 100 Most Influential blogs, and Annie’s Homegrown – where she assisted in design and development of the first Web-based Direct Public Offering of stock. Tina has a BFA in Fine Arts from UCLA.

Kate Rath

Director of Operations

Kate Rath is the Director of Operations at BetterManager. Her career has spanned international development work, public health, communications and the arts. In her work in public health, she designed global health projects in over a dozen developing countries, providing technical assistance along with data-driven monitoring and evaluation and fiscal oversight. She has collaboratively developed strategic plans for organizations and has a successful track record of resource mobilization working with organizations such as the World Bank, European Union, the Ford Foundation and USAID. Her work has been highlighted and presented at the American Public Health Association, Global Health Council, New York University, and the UN Commission on the Status of Women. In her work in the art and design fields, Kate has overseen large-scale projects with Twitter, Google, Microsoft, National Geographic, NY Museum of Modern Art and Columbia University. Kate holds Masters of Science in International Relations from the London School of Economics.

Dr. George Woods, MD

Advisor

George Woods, MD, L.F.A.P.A. is a practicing neuropsychiatrist and internationally known mental health expert. He is also Vice-Chairperson of the Challenging Behaviors Special Interest Research Group of the International Association for the Specialized Study of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities while serving as Associate Editor of the Journal of Policy and Practice for the same organization. Since 2002, he has taught Clinical Aspects of Forensic Psychiatry at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia (currently on sabbatical until 2018), and is a Lecturer at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law. He is co-host of Where Mental Health Meets the Law, a Thomson Reuters webinar with Westlaw. Dr. Woods has published extensively on topics including neurobehavioral assessment in forensic mental health, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, cultural factors in assessing the mentally disordered, trauma, financial fraud, and intellectual disability. Dr. Woods has also consulted with forensic systems internationally, including Malawi, The Hague, Uganda, Kenya, Zanzibar, Senegal, Tanzania, Italy, and Japan. Dr. Woods has consulted with Vulcan Industries, Microsoft, the Evansville Unified School District, and Defend Your Head, among others to help develop neuroeducational systems and neuropsychiatric strategies. Dr. Woods has been a member of the Critical Moments Project for over 20 years. Dr. Woods has been a consultant and content expert on the brain and neuropsychiatry for the BetterManager Team since 2016.
