BetterManager’s Success Program for newer managers will effectively and efficiently help build the most important skills your new managers need to be successful
The manager direct report relationship is key to productivity and engagement. Using a framework based on neuroscience, this conversation that matters provides managers with the tools needed to facilitate powerful one-on-one meetings with their direct reports. The research shows that managers should talk less than 20% in a one-on-one meeting, yet most managers far exceed this. Tools are shared to align with this and other best practices.
This class focuses on the coaching skills managers need in order to empower others. Curriculum is designed using fundamental coaching principles. Topics include: powerful questions to ask, and when coaching conversations can be most impactful.
Giving and receiving feedback is a gift--to both the giver and receiver. In this class, we explore the BetterManager Feedback Model from both perspectives. Managers will learn and practice new skills forgiving feedback and will gain tools for thinking through difficult conversations.
Career development conversations are crucial to a team member’s growth. In this class we provide managers with useful tools which enable these conversations to happen. Development of direct reports is not only about skills gaps, but also of utmost importance and interest, is also about the direct report’s aspirations and goals.
