We created BetterManager with the simple goal of helping managers make a positive difference in the lives of the people with whom they work every day, as well as within the organizations to which they devote their time and energy.
It quickly became apparent that we needed to understand the skills and behaviors of great managers. After some research, and exploration of our own extensive experience as managers, executives and coaches - a lot of it at Google and other tech startups, - we decided to focus on these 12 behaviors.
